The Orlando Magic couldn’t hit a three-pointer to save their lives in the first four games of their first round series against the Atlanta Hawks. In Game 5, the Magic finally found the range and destroyed the Hawks to force Game 6. The Hawks still lead the series 3-2 and the series shifts to Atlanta on Thursday.
In Game 5, the Magic shot 42.3% from three-point land — hitting 11-of-26 attempts from deep. Their shooting was so good that they blew out the Hawks by a final score of 101-76 even though Dwight Howard finished with only eight points and eight rebounds in 29 minutes of play. Ryan Anderson and Jason Richardson each buried three triples.
For the Hawks, they couldn’t make anything. They shot 36.2% from the field and were just 4-for-16 on three-pointers. Joe Johnson, the team’s highest paid player, was just 2-for-12 from the field.
Can the Magic keep up their hot shooting in Game 6? If they can, this series will become very, very interesting.

Frank McCourt, the owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, has had a tough go of it lately. First, he allegedly found out that his wife was cheating with a bodyguard — which led to an extremely messy divorce. Then just recently, MLB commissioner Bud Selig stepped in and took control of the Dodgers. Now a hairdresser is claiming that he’s owed $15,000.
David Mackey, the hairdresser in question, says that he was promised $300 per day for his services. However, in his lawsuit, he says that McCourt failed to pay him for a span of about 50 days.
To us, $300 a day sounds outrageous. But with how McCourt blindly throws around money, I wouldn’t doubt it. It’ll be interesting to see how he escapes this latest hairy situation.

In some circles, Ray Allen of the Boston Celtics has a reputation of being a great guy and a dedicated family man. However, there is starting to be a lot of evidence online that Ray Allen is a scumbag. A recent picture surfaced showing Ray Allen on a date with a girl who wasn’t his wife. See the Ray Allen picture below.
Back in 2009, Ray Allen sent a racy Twitter message to some unkown female. He, of course, claimed that he was hacked. But common sense said otherwise.
Now this Ray Allen picture? We are starting to see a lot of smoke. It’s about time to stop looking up to Ray Allen as some sort of saint. Instead, he’s just another jock who may or may not actively seach out strange.

Although the Indiana Pacers played extremely hard and gave it all they had, the Chicago Bulls were just too good. With a 116-89 victory in Game 5, the Bulls eliminated the Pacers. As you might expect, the Bulls were led by MVP-to-be Derrick Rose, who scored 25 points and handed out six assists in 30 minutes.
On the back of a 36-25 first quarter, the Bulls easily held their lead throughout. Luol Deng also played very well for the Bulls, finishing with 24 points, seven assists and three steals.
For the Pacers, they got 20 points from Danny Granger. However, they shot less than 40% from the field and turned the ball over 20 times.
The Bulls now move on to play the winner between the Atlanta Hawks and Orlando Magic. The Pacers move on to their fishing trips.
